Thanks to all who attended our Spring Scientific Seminar 2023 on February 7th. We have been receiving great feedback on the event as it returns to Horse and Jockey after 2 years of being held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Special thanks to our speakers on the day. Dr. Claire Aspel kicked off proceedings with a great paper on the Role of Sulphur & Interaction with Nitrogen. Don Somers then followed this up with a practical discussion on how he implements farm technologies to improve the sustainability of his tillage farm. Bernard Harris from the Department of Agriculture was next and provided a thought provoking review of changes to the Nitrates Action Programme 2022 – 2025 and beyond and finally Dr. Finbarr O Regan briefed the audience on the incoming National Fertiliser Database. A special thanks also to our Chairman for the day, FAI Council member and Chair of the IFA Environmental & Rural Affairs Committee.
As always, presentations from the day are available to view, along with papers and presentations from previous seminars, in the scientific meetings and proceedings section of our website
